Pax is an AI-guided journaling and reflection product designed to help people capture thoughts, reflect on patterns, and build more clarity over time. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use Pax.
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in details, and basic profile information.
- Content you submit, such as onboarding answers, journal entries, reflections, prompts, custom journals, voice notes, and transcriptions.
- Usage and device information, such as app activity, browser or device type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, crash logs, and diagnostic information.
- Transaction information related to subscriptions or purchases. Payment details are processed by third-party payment providers, and we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
How we use information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and secure Pax.
- Generate guided reflections, AI-assisted responses, and product features you choose to use.
- Personalize your experience, including onboarding and saved history.
- Process subscriptions, communicate about your account, and send service-related messages.
- Monitor performance, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the product over time.
How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us run Pax, including providers for hosting, authentication, databases, analytics, crash monitoring, payments, transcription, and AI processing. We share only the information reasonably necessary to provide the service.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the safety or rights of users or Pax, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Pax, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your choices
You may have the right to:

- Request deletion of your account or submitted content.
- Opt out of non-essential emails.
- Request information about how your data is handled, subject to applicable law.
Children
Pax is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
